Wild elephants and boars
wandered away from Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve have destroyed thousands of
hectares of corn and crop planted land in Udaypur district, eastern Nepal. This
incident has forced to relocate dozens of families in the last two years. The
area also faces flash floods every year since it is surrounded by Sapta Koshi River
in the east and Triyuga River in the south adding more woes to the people.
