Great Himalayan National park conservation area in Kullu district of
Himachal Pradesh, northern India, gets the tag of World Heritage site by
UNESCO. The status was granted to park as it qualifies the criteria of having
the most important natural habitats for in-situ conservation of biological
diversity and contains valuable threatened species.
