About
1.41 tons of Red sandalwood (Pterocarpus
santalinus) was seized from the forest of Sindhupalchok district, central Nepal
by local police officers. The precious
wood was confiscated from two container vans which had 0.86 tons and 0.186 tons
of sandalwood respectively while being exported to China through Araniko Highway.
