Rise in temperature has created havoc in Mahottari
district, central Nepal due to rapid proliferation of diseases like fever,
diarrhea, skin diseases, and jaundice. More than 150 people were found to be
infected by those diseases and most of them were below eight years. Also, due
to extreme heat, water shortage has been reported due to drying of wells and
ponds.
