Royal Manas national Park officials along with the farmers of Norbugang
chiwong, Bhutan formed an insurance management for crops with initial deposit
of Nu 100,000 from Park and Nu 100 annually by the farmers in 2012 as wildlife
destroyed the crops. Initially, it was started with 30 household and it has
reached 80 household by now. So it has proved to be very helpful for the
farmers as the government rarely compensates.
