OUTBREAK OF WATERBORNE DISEASES- NEPAL



More than 1,500 people have been affected and 10 have died due to the outbreak of Hepatitis E in Biratnagar sub-metropolitan city, eastern Nepal. Health related group and district based government officials have raised campaign to manage their wastes properly as preventive measure. Similarly, occurrence of diarrhea has also been reported in different village development committees (VDCs) and Hetauda municipality in Makwanpur district, central Nepal. While coliform contaminated water is also posing threat to the local people of Bajura district, far-western Nepal.
