Due to the selling of substandard food items in main market of
Rawalpindi district, viral diseases are posing risk to the local people. These
items, prepared in poor hygienic condition are not only causing typhoid,
diarrhea, throat infection but also leading to other serious diseases like
hepatitis, intestinal infection, cancer and other intestinal disease. According
to the health authorities, the ratio of these diseases has increased around 50
per cent in the summer this year.
