Locals of urban areas in Udaypur district, eastern Nepal suffer from
acute shortage of drinking water due to the drying up of water sources. At
present, the people are collecting water from Triyuga River while some of them
are trying to manage water from nearby villages for fulfilling the demand.
Improper maintenance of water project is considered to be the major reason
behind this shortage.
