TECHNOLOGY IMPROVES AGRICULTURE PRODUCTIVITY- CHINA



According to the Lhasa Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, with the help of newly introduced agriculture technology Lhasa produced 108,000 tons of vegetable of the total production of 241,000 tons in 2012. The use of technology not only reduced their dependency on inland vegetable supply but also increased vegetables variety to more than 100. Around 9,300 solar greenhouses were established in 13 facility agriculture bases last year.  With 1500 more greenhouses on cards this year, it expects to cover about 30 percent of the total vegetable planting area in the region.
