GYBN has been awarded as
official project of the UN Decade on Biodiversity!!!
The award
has been handed over by Thomas Greiner, Vice President of the
German Federal
Agency for Nature Conservation, which funded our Kick-Off
meeting, on behalf of
the German section of the UN Decade on Biodiversity and was
received by
representatives of Naturschutzjugend, the German youth
association for the protection
of Nature, which made a huge contribution to the establishment of
GYBN by organizing
and hosting our conference last year in Berlin.
After
Biodiversitymatter’s
youth leadership award in November 2012 and BfN’s recognition
of GYBN as “Project
of the Month” in March 2013 this is the third award our
network has won for its
work towards building a global coalition of young people to
prevent the loss of
Biodiversity.
