The increased air pollution from the steel and marble
factories in Rawalpindi, northern Pakistan is increasingly viewed as health and
pollution hazard in the city. Residents have been complaining of different
ailments due to pollution and the authority has suggested factories to use
treatment plants to filter hazardous smoke emission.
