Around 25,000 households in Mayudia
model village in Arunachal Pradesh, northeastern India has received solar
energy equipment which was provided by the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) in
association with Arunachal Pradesh Environment (APE) and Forest department. This has helped in meeting
the power crisis
in the village and has also encouraged people to participate in conservation
activities.
