Due to the lack of landfill site in
Jammu, northern India, the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) is dumping and
burning more than 400 tonnes of Solid waste collected from 453 points in forest
trenches around the city. However the local residents have been opposing such
actions realizing the probable chances of health and pollution hazard.
