HARNESSING THE SOLAR ENERGY- NEPAL

Increased load shedding of up to 80 hours per week as reported by the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has led the country to harness solar energy. Local stakeholders together with Pokhara sub-metropolis in Western Nepal have also introduced a project to install solar street lamps in two major business centers- Lakeside and New Road-in the city.
