WATER BIRDS DECREASING IN POKHARA- NEPAL

Loss of habitat and increasing human encroachment has led to the decline of migratory water birds in Pokhara, western Nepal. Lakes in the district used to have 50 different bird species, but at present numbers have dropped by 30-35 per cent.
