FLOODS AND AQUACULTURE- INDIA

In recent Assam floods, around 14000 hectares of land was inundated that was meant for fish farming according to state fishery department. Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Morigaon, Nalbari, Barpeta, Nagaon and parts of Kamrup are the districts where inundation of fishing ponds was reported. Some of them have already started restoring aquaculture.
