Sixth meeting of the Conference of the Parties/ COP11

As you are aware, the sixth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety and the eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, will be held from 1 to 5 and 8 to 19 October 2012, respectively, in Hyderabad, India.

The Secretariat is pleased to invite Parties to the Convention and organizations, who may wish to organize press conferences during the above mentioned meetings, to submit their request via the form available at http://bch.cbd.int/mop6/pressconf/ (regarding COP-MOP 6) and at: http://www.cbd.int/cop11/events/press-conferences/ (regarding COP 11).

The Secretariat will send a confirmation of your request within approximately 10 working days of submission of the form. To best prepare your press conference and to ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of the media events during the meetings, it is highly recommended that all press conference organizers read the FAQs and instructions, which can be found in the above-mentioned web links.
