CLIMATE SMART AGRICULTURE CHANGING LIVES- NEPAL

An integrated approach to agriculture as a part of President Chure Conservation Program in several VDCs of Surkhet District, west Nepal, has benefitted 14,000 households and has provided employment to more than 35,000 people. Under this program, locals have constructed 40 check dams to store rain water in order to irrigate their farm fields during water stricken months.
