PROMOTING LOCAL BREEDS OF LIVESTOCK- BHUTAN

In fear of losing out the local breeds of livestock against the high yielding breeds, the dzongkhag livestock sector of Pemagatshel has initiated backyard livestock farming in two villages. With increase in demand for local produce, the program is faring well and the farmers are encouraged about rearing local breeds.
