GOVT REPORTS INCREASE IN TIGER POPULATION BUT IS IT VALID- NEPAL
The Department of National Parks and Wildlife
Conservation (DNPWC) has reported tiger population in Nepal has increased to
176 after the recently conducted survey in Bardiya National Park and
ShuklaPhata Wildlife Reserve, which recorded 21 tigers. The 2010 census already reported 155 tigers
in the country. The total tiger population of 176 is based on the previous
