WASTE PROBLEM IN JAMMU- India

Locals of many parts of Jammu, northern India are at risk due to the lack of proper sewerage network and solid waste management facility. Most of the cities in the state do not have proper septic tanks while sewage is also directly disposed into open drains leading to unhygienic condition. There is also no provision of full door to door waste collection system and only small per cent of waste generated is collected.
