BIOGAS FOR BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION- NEPAL



Bhairabhur village of Chitwan district, central Nepal, has been declared as Biogas village after the construction of biogas plant at in 138 houses out of 171 in village. After the biogas plant construction, locals have got relief from problem of firewood collection under the risk of wild animals. The goal of making biogas village is to increase biodiversity by minimizing human pressure on forest resources.
