In the course of COFO22/World Forest
Week held at FAO HQ in Rome, Italy, from 23-27 June 2014,the International
Forestry Students' Association (IFSA) and the International Union of Forest
Research Organizations (IUFRO) will hold a joint side event on:
Youth and Education in a Changing Forest Sector:
Their Role in Shaping the Future
When: 13:15 - 15:15 on Tuesday, 24 June
Where: German Room, FAO Headquarters
This side-event will discuss the role of youth and education in a rapidly changing forest sector and aims to produce recommendations on how to enhance student educational experiences and their participation in policy processes.
The guidance and input received from COFO participants will be used to further develop the collaboration between IUFRO and IFSA and with interested partners.
