Use of restricted and banned poisons, Thiodyne and Endosulphine are being used continuously in the rivers of Kanchanpur, western Nepal for fishing while fishes and tortoise are also being killed in the rivers like Khapti, Sutiya, Nakaiya, Shyali, Doda, Donda, Sunwara, Banhara etc. Lack of consciousness in the people of these area, is the main reason for such practices.
