LOSS ON PADDY PRODUCTION- NEPAL

Continuous offseason rain for three days has affected paddy production nationwide. About 30-35 per cent of loss was seen in harvested paddy in Mahendranagar, western Nepal while similar result was seen in Rupandehi district central Nepal, where 2 per cent loss was seen in early varieties of standing paddy. The offseason rain has also destroyed potato cultivation in Bhaktapur, central Nepal.
