LIMITING TOURISM FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION- CHINA



As an effort to improve ecological environment, Medog county in Nyaingci, south west China has planned to limit the annual visitors within 15,000 to guarantee sustainable tourism. The area is believed to be the “lotus sacred land” and is also included in “World database of fauna and flora genes”. During last 7 months, Medog received 290,000 tourists.
