Due
to the excessive flooding of Babai River over Blackbuck Conservation area in
Bardia, western Nepal, habitat of Blackbuck is at risk. About, two month back
40 Blackbucks were found dead due to flood in the area that reduced the total
population from 280 to 240 heads. In Nepal, this rare species is found only in
Bardia.
