Use of biological method has proved successful in controling
the pests in Birtamod, Jhapa district, eastern Nepal. The method was introduced
in the area by a farmer who had worked in friendship community Garden, Australia
and since the method is easier and affordable, it has become a popular means to
control the pests. The control method includes powder of three
ingredients: ginger, garlic and chilly whose
application in the vegetable plants kills the pest and increases productivity
without any side effects.
