Commercial fish farming in natural lakes has become popular among the locals
of Kanchanpur district, western Nepal. More than 20 natural lakes has been
preserved and used by locals in a group for fish farming purposes. This has led
to the improvement in the economic condition of local people. They have been
supported by Helvetas Nepal and NEEDS for past six years.
