BIODIVERSITY UNDER THREAT- NEPAL

Due to the lack of the conservation efforts and increasing poaching, the rare wildlife is likely to get extinct in eastern part of Mugu district, western Nepal. The area is home for various high value medicinal herbs such as Yarsagumba (Cordyceps sinensis), Morel Mushroom (Morchella conica) and Paanchaunle (Dactylorhiza Hatagirea) including rare wildlife like musk deer, snow leopard, and antelope.  Thus there is the need of effective conservation effort in this area.
