About 43 herdsmen from Tibetan autonomous prefectures, western China have voluntarily taken the initiative to protect the migrant birds and other diverse animals near by the Qinghai Lake. They are deeply conscious of natural and environmental protection and are also working to conserve biodiversity of Naren Wetland located by the side of Qinghai Lake, Gangcha County, north-west China.  It is an important place for migratory birds to rest and transit.
