Sea-buckthorn is one of the best sand fixating
plants in deforested areas, which covers about 53.36 ha land in Tsona County,
Lhoka prefecture of Tibet. Along with its ecological vitality, it has also
boosted the economy of Tibet as the whole plant including root, stem, leaf,
flower, and fruit is useful for medicinal purpose. Therapeutic superiority and
tourist value of this species has also attracted efforts and funds for its
conservation.
