More than 10,000 persons have been displaced with loss of properties worth around NPR. 1 billion due to floods triggered by torrential downpour over the past two days in Bardia district, western Nepal. 11 persons were killed in the flood. Similarly, six people lost their lives in flood-related incidents at Duruwa, Urahari and Purandhara villages in Dang. The swollen Babai River damaged and flooded hundreds of houses at Urahi, Duruwa, Hekuli, Panchakule and Shreegaun villages of Dang. Likewise, flooding in different places of Kanchanpur district, western Nepal has damaged property worth NPR 20 million and swept away 45 houses in the Dodhara-Chandani area.
