BIRDS SPECIES ENDANGERED- Nepal



According to Department of National Park and Wildlife Conservation and Bird Protection Association, as many as 150 species of birds are in endangered list in Nepal.  The main reason behind gradual disappearance of bird species are human population growth followed by increased deforestation and timber smuggling. The study revealed that various bird species including eagle, RatoLahanche, small-sized peacock, crane, white vulture, Dangar vulture, small brown vulture and golden vulture are in the endangered list.
