According
to Department of National Park and Wildlife Conservation and Bird Protection Association,
as many as 150 species of birds are in endangered list in Nepal. The main
reason behind gradual disappearance of bird species are human population growth
followed by increased deforestation and timber smuggling. The study
revealed that various bird species including eagle, RatoLahanche, small-sized
peacock, crane, white vulture, Dangar vulture, small brown vulture and golden
vulture are in the endangered list.
