Heavy rainfall and cloudburst for the past
two days in Uttarakhand, northern India has killed 27 people with damage of
several houses and livestock. Similar is the case in Shimla, where incessant
rainfall has taken away the lives of eight people along with crop and road
damages and loss of property. Landslides
have wreaked havoc in Mussorie for the past 36 hours by damaging electricity
and water supply and other property loss with four houses submerged in mud
debris. However, continuous rainfall has brought a sign of relief in Kashmir
since it minimized the sweltering heat from 31.4 C⁰ to 15.3⁰
C and humid condition.
