Farmers from different parts
of the country have been attracted to organic farming. According to Organic Certification Nepal, organic products cost 40 to 300 per cent
more than the non-organic products. There are 995 farmers in Jumla, 207 in
Palpa, 294 in Kaski, 800 from Kavre, 80 from Dadeldhura and Ilam who certified
their products. Also nine farms have been certified as organic. Apple produced
in Jumla, honey of Dadeldhura, Coffee of Kaski, rice of Chitwan, vegetable of
Kathmandu, lentils of Rasuwa, Tea of Ilam have already received organic
certification.
