Loggerhead Shrike- CANADA

The Loggerhead Shrike is well adapted to actively grazed pastures.  They were common during the early years of small farms between 1850 and 1940.  Since modern industrial farming began their numbers have fallen.  The future of this species remains uncertain.  Image taken at the Canadian Museum of Nature.
