Wild animals, especially one horned rhinoceros are under threat near Pobitora wildlife Sanctuary in Morigoan district, Assam, north-east India because of the poachers. Recently, two poachers have been arrested near the sanctuary. In addition, inundation of 90 per cent of total area of the sanctuary due to rising water of Brahmaputra has compelled the wild animals to migrate to safer places.
