When: Saturday, September 28
9:00 am until 1:00 pm
For youth grade 5 to 8
Our
planet’s future rests on the conservation of our irreplaceable natural
heritage- our biodiversity. Species are
being lost at an unprecedented rate with massive consequences for our planet,
the economy, and our health. Understanding
our place in the global community is key to this process. There will be a Macoun Marsh tour. The students will
meet face-to-face with youth that have been active in biodiversity issues. Students will
be made aware of local, national, and international opportunities as possible
venues for involvement. Local political
personalities and organic farmers will be available for questions by the
youth. A biodiversity potluck will conclude the event. Please RSVP with Mr. L. at lmleveille@rogers.com Past mentors may help plan and run the events.
