New species of Labeonine fish (Garra
magnidiscus), locally known as 'Ngop' has been discovered in the tributary
of Siang River, Arunachal. It was found out by a former staff of the Institute
of Himalayan Environment and Development. The discovery made from the area is
declared to be new to science.
