The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has
failed to immediately remove dumping point from Bhatta Chowk as Civil Aviation
Authority (CCA) has refused to grant no-objection certificate (NOC) to the
civic authority for the development of dumping site on Chakri Road, because the
area was located at the distance of just nine kilometres from the Benazir
Bhutto International Airport which is under construction. RCB authorities had
planned to procure 180 kanals land at Chakri Road for shifting of dumping point
outside.
