POACHER NABBED AND TIGER CUBS RESCUED- INDIA

Officials of Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park nabbed the kingpin of the poachers' gang involved in the killing of a rhino.  The poacher surrendered his rifle and helped to nab others who were involved in the case. Two orphaned tiger cubs were rescued by members of the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) and Arunachal Pradesh forest department from a dry water tank at Arunachal Pradesh. The cubs were wandering in the area without their mother for over a month, occasionally lifting poultry from local households for survival.
