Supreme Court has ordered Kathmandu
Metropolitan City (KMC) to explain the banning of plastics bags. KMC had banned
the use of plastics to be applicable by Mid June. Plastic industries had filed a case against
this saying that plastic doesn’t decay and produces no foul smell. According to rule, each customer and seller
would be finned Rs. 500, and 1000 respectively for each purchase. There are 400
plastic industries in Nepal.
