ALTERNATIVE CROPS – ADAPTING TO CLIMATE CHANGE- INDIA



Farmers in Himachal Pradesh are switching their crop, and are now planting Kiwi instead of apple. In Kullu valley of the state, 200 farmers have already planted this exotic cash crop. Though the plantation of this fruit was experimented 12 years ago, farmers now believe they have more market now. It is said that climate change has favored this fruit instead of apple.
