TIGER SPOTTED AT LAMPELRI PARK- BHUTAN

A video of the Royal Bengal Tiger in Lampelri botanical park, Thimphu, was retrieved recently, almost two years after it was caught on camera at Thadana in Lampelri, at an altitude of 3,900m. The presence of a royal Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris) in Lampelri botanical park was confirmed recently, by Royal Botanical park officials. The image was seen only when the Royal Society for Protection and Nature (RSPN) checked the camera’s SD card after Park officials had set up the camera in the area a couple of years ago with RSPN’s support in response to complaints from the cow herders.
