A
well-known wildlife sanctuary Pong Dam wetland of Himachal attracted 87,000
winged visitors of more than 90 species from the Central Asian countries
(trans-Himalayan regions) this winter. About 415 species were recorded at the
Pong Dam during the last ten years.
