Qinghai-Tibet Power Grid has generated 695
million kilowatt/hour of electricity for Tibet with a maximum delivery of
170,000 kilowatt, contributing to 32.69 percent of the total supply load. This
has not only tackled the power shortage but considerably improved the people’s
standard of living. As per the policy of the 18th CPC National Congress,
emphasis is on protection of the fragile environment so economic development
and environment protection can go hand in hand.
