This year
alone the community seed bank in Dadeldhura District, west Nepal, has sold seed
worth NRS 1 million to the farmers. Seed plantation is being carried out in
around 300-500 hectares of land in the district. The seed bank which was
established four years ago has helped farmers to conserve the
agro-biodiversity.
