The
scientists involved in the ongoing study of wildlife resources of Mt.
Qomolangma Nature Reserve have recorded more than 460 vertebrates including 120
new vertebrates. The study conducted after nearly two decades have found that
the reserve food chain is well-preserved and biodiversity is better than
expected. Situated at an altitude of 4,200m, the Reserve is home to five of the
world's tallest peaks.
