TRACKING KASHMIRI RED DEER USING GPS COLLARS- INDIA



To monitor the movement and habitat of Hangul (Kashmiri stag), wildlife scientists have fitted an adult Kashmir red deer with a GPS collar at Dachigam National Park. This is first of its kind research on the critically endangered species, the only Asiatic survivor of red deer found only in Kashmir at Dachigam National Park.
